Introduction to Ferenczi

September 24, 2025 @ 7:30 pm - June 24, 2026 @ 9:30 pm PDT
$300

This course is an introduction to the ideas of Sandor Ferenczi and his contributions to contemporary relational psychoanalysis. It will focus on the evolution of Ferenczi’s work: from understanding the source of individual psychic suffering and developing dynamic techniques for effective treatment of patients with mental health challenges to the ethics that he believed should guide a clinician’s work.

The course will be of interest to mental health workers in clinical practice. It will have primarily didactic discussions of suggested readings and participants are encouraged to discuss cases in their own work to illustrate the material.
