Olea Ahmann

Reason for joining the Board

My primary goal is to contribute to CAPT’s continued growth and visibility while supporting a strong, inclusive community of psychodynamic practitioners. I hope to bring my background in marketing, communication, and leadership to help CAPT strengthen its voice and public presence.

As a psychotherapist who is early in private practice, I also want to represent and support others who are entering the field, helping CAPT remain accessible and relevant to new clinicians. And finally, I view this as an opportunity to learn from senior colleagues, contribute meaningfully, and participate in shaping the future of psychodynamic therapy in Canada.

About Olea Ahmann

Olea Ahmann is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Toronto and a graduate of the Toronto Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis. She works with adults and couples, focusing on relationships, identity, and emotional patterns through a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic lens.

She has completed over 500 direct clinical hours through her work at the TICP Community Clinic and is now transitioning to her private practice. Before training as a therapist, Olea co-founded and led Bloomth, a health-tech startup dedicated to women’s wellness. She brings to her clinical and community work a blend of psychodynamic depth, creative communication, and leadership experience, and is passionate about expanding access to meaningful, relational therapy.

To assist with keeping the association alive, and create a strong community.

About Hannah Archibald

Jenny Gauntlett

Reason for joining the Board

I want to bring my experience as a psychotherapist to support the growth of psychodynamic practice. I’m particularly interested in creating opportunities for therapists to connect, learn, and feel less isolated, through training, supervision, or in-person gatherings. I also hope to contribute to initiatives that uphold ethical, client-focused care and increase awareness of the value of psychodynamic psychotherapy.

About Jenny Gauntlett

Jenny Gauntlett is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and has over ten years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults. Jenny’s integrative approach draws from relational, psychodynamic, person-centred, parts work, and trauma-informed modalities. She holds an M.Sc. in Autism and Neurodivergence (with Distinction) and has a particular interest in working with women with ADHD. She is also certified in Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment (T.I.S.T.) and trained in EMDR.

Dagmara Guy

Reason for joining the Board

I’d love to be able to influence Seasonal Lectures and be more embedded with other psychodynamic practitioners.

About Dagmara Guy, RP(Q)

Dagmara Guy is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and the founder of TrueSpace Psychotherapy, a private practice in Toronto focused on trauma, attachment, and somatic integration. She completed a five-year, master’s equivalent training at the Ontario Psychotherapy and Counselling Program (OPCC) with a concentration in trauma, dissociation, and polyvagal-informed therapy.

Dagmara brings a psychodynamic and relational lens to her work, supporting adults navigating complex trauma, emotional disconnection, identity development, and relationship challenges.

She is passionate about promoting psychodynamic psychotherapy as a vital and evolving modality, grounded in depth, empathy, and human connection.

Maram Khalif

Reason for joining the Board

To support and strengthen the credibility of psychodynamic psychotherapy.

To ensure CAPT remains relevant among expanding professional associations.

To contribute to maintaining high standards and professional unity.

About Maram Khalif

As a Registered Psychotherapist in solo practice, my professional background is defined by a dual focus: a deep dedication to client care through psychodynamic psychotherapy and a proven track record in the complex machinery of public service and organizational leadership.

Through my roles with the Ontario Public Service, including as a Senior Policy Advisor and a Compliance Analyst with the Office of the Fairness Commissioner — which oversees the regulation of registration processes for all regulated professions in Ontario, including that of the College of Registered Psychotherapists — I have developed a rigorous understanding of regulatory frameworks, the importance of procedural fairness, and the critical balance between policy and practical application.

My governance experience is both extensive and hands-on. For over eleven years, I have served on the Board of Directors for Parkdale Community Legal Services, where I chaired the Membership and Community Engagement Committee and co-chaired the Change Management Review Committee. In these roles, I was instrumental in navigating complex organizational challenges, strategic planning, and building consensus on divergent issues— skills directly transferable to the strategic deliberations of the CAPT Board.

I am deeply committed to upholding the integrity of the psychotherapy profession, particularly the psychodynamic modality. My unique synthesis of clinical practice, regulatory insight, and governance leadership positions me to contribute meaningfully to CAPT’s mission of advocating for psychodynamic psychotherapy.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, researching, and traveling.

I bring experience in private practice growth, supervision, and community engagement, as well as a strong network in both mental health and adjacent fields. I hope to support CAPT in amplifying its presence through mentorship, events, and creative public-facing initiatives that build connection, professional pride, and belonging within our community.
