This course offers a psychodynamically informed framework to understand adult clients through attachment theory. Participants will assess adult attachment styles using formal tools, explore the neurobiology of attachment, and apply attachment paradigms to mental health diagnoses such as borderline personality disorder.
Emphasizing the therapeutic relationship, the training encourages therapists to recognize their own attachment style and its influence on therapy. Clinicians will gain skills to help clients move toward secure or earned secure attachment through an attachment-focused therapeutic approach.
