On April 13, 2019, CAPT and OACCPP are co-sponsoring a full-day workshop about online therapy. We are pleased to announce that Lawrence Murphy, who presented at our 2018 AGM, will be leading this full-day event.

At his AGM presentation, which can be found here (please log in first), Lawrence Murphy (Therapy Online) introduced CAPT members to how online therapy may enable better treatment of certain disorders and that it can reach individuals who, for a variety of reasons, might never otherwise visit a therapist’s office. However, before embarking in online therapy, he pointed out the importance of RPs needing to be fully aware of regulations, insurance requirements, ethics and technology.

The full day workshop will examine a wide range of issues and considerations regarding practicing online therapy – from technical and regulatory realities to psychodynamic therapy considerations. Participants will have an opportunity to work in small groups, to better understand issues and implementation in their own practices.

Date: Saturday, April 13, 2019
Cost: $100 for the full day
