Psychodynamic psychotherapy provides the opportunity for clients to understand and explore their emotional insights and to potentially discover different ways of feeling and thinking.  The client has the space to explore new perspectives in a safe and non-judgmental environment.  In psychodynamic psychotherapy, the therapeutic alliance is very important.  I believe in the power of self-compassion and humour and the clients’ potential for emotional and psychological health.

I support clients from diverse backgrounds who are experiencing anxiety, relationship struggles, depression, immediate crisis, physical, emotional and sexual trauma, substance abuse, family issues, and professional difficulties. I have extensive experience supporting and working with parents/caregivers with children with disabilities. I work within an anti-oppression framework.  I am 2SLGBTQ+ and sex positive.

I utilize various techniques and interventions in my tool-kit depending on what my client needs such as psychodynamic supportive and uncovering, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused therapy, Mindfulness for Anxiety and Depression, Self-compassion, Trauma-informed therapy, and Attachment therapy.
