Registered Psychotherapist, CTP Dipl

B.A. from University of Toronto; Graduate of Centre for Training in Psychotherapy

I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 2006 and am currently working with individual men, women, and teens. I was trained at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy in psychodynamic psychotherapy, a therapy that encourages the exploration of conscious and unconscious emotional issues. This exploration gives us the chance to ask questions about ourselves and identify patterns of behaviour that keep us from fully relating with ourselves and others.

Looking inside yourself isn't always easy, but it is necessary, especially if you feel depressed, anxious, lost, or overwhelmed. The first step is putting your thoughts and feelings into words. Psychotherapy gives you the opportunity to talk about what is troubling you. This can provide a sense of relief, help you to feel less alone, and most importantly, allow you to explore what has been getting in your way.

As a psychotherapist, I have been trained in the art of listening. With objectivity and guidance, I can help you identify patterns of thinking, feeling and interacting that may be contributing to your struggles. In time, you will become more aware of your thoughts and feelings and learn how to cope with things more effectively. Therapy can help you discover better ways of dealing with your problems and aquire a deeper insight into yourself that will improve your sense of peace, well-being and self-esteem.

I also provide psycho-social and emotional assessments for refugee claimants. I accept paying clients, as well as Legal Aid claimants.
