Do you feel overwhelmed? Unconnected? Stuck?
Talking to a therapist can really help.

Each therapy is as unique as the person who comes to see me. The changes you want to make in your life, the subjects we talk about are entirely up to you. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can speak about your feelings and concerns, some of which you may not be able to share with the people in your daily life. Whether you have specific issues you would like to address or just a general sense that you are not living life as fully as you would like to be, having a confidential space to reflect on your life, with the help of a therapist, can provide you with new and valuable insights into your world

Telling your story:
For many people therapy is their first experience of feeling like the central figure in their life story. All too often we feel like peripheral characters in our own lives. When we tell our life story to a therapist we are often hearing it for the first time ourselves. This alone is a powerful experience. To enhance this a therapist is trained to listen to the subtle nuances of your story and ask questions that may provide new insights into the way you look at your self and your life.

Early Experience:
The way you first experience the world can be a blueprint for what you expect in later life. For this reason we often explore your early life to gain a deeper insight into your present concerns. Once you begin to make connections between your past and your present you open a place for new expectations to emerge.

Dreaming and Trance/Hypnosis:
In psychodynamic therapy you also have the chance to explore your dreams. Dreams can provide rich insights into the inner dynamics of your world. Another method I make available to you is therapeutic trance. Therapeutic trance or hypnosis helps you to come into contact with your inner wisdom and gives you deeper connection to yourself and your life.

What to Expect:
Anxiety and Depression are the most frequent symptoms people bring to therapy. These symptoms are usually either a result of past traumas or a response to the demands and changes in present day life. During the time we work together clients usually find that they feel more at peace with themselves and increasingly empowered in their lives.

People are mysterious beings. Although there are many very helpful theories about why we feel and act as we do no one truly has the answers about you except you. I am here to assist you on your path but the path is of your own choosing.

Therapy can enable us to understand how we sometimes work at cross purposes to ourselves. When we learn to integrate the disparate aspects of our psyches we are able to live more effective and satisfying lives.

Therapy allows us to explore sensitive aspects of ourselves in a safe, non-judgmental environment. It helps us to value and utilize our creativity and imagination, to gain intimate understanding of our core values and of the desires that make us come alive in new  and authentic ways.

About Me:

-I am continually reminded what a privilege it is to listen to the confidences my clients share with me and to talk to them about what is most meaningful to them. The people I work with all have at least some hope that life can get better. I am both humbled and inspired by our conversations.

  • I am delighted to work with people from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, spiritual beliefs, ages, gender and sexual orientations.

As well as being a psychotherapist I am a mother, a musician and a creative person. I practice yoga and am a certified teacher of Kundalini Yoga. I have a comfortable accessible office near the Dupont subway station.
