People seek change and choose to work with a therapist for a variety of reasons. It could be that you are struggling with depression, or experiencing difficulties in your relationships (work, personal, family), or are a highly sensitive person (HSP) easily overcome by stress or anxiety. Chances are you are feeling stuck in some way. If you are ready to explore personal issues in a supportive and confidential environment, I welcome your call.

I work with men and women who are interested in making lasting change by engaging in a creative and experiential approach to personal change. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Certified Gestalt Therapist (Cert. GIT, Gestalt Institute of Toronto), as well as a Level II Emotional Freedom Techniques™ / EFT Practitioner (EFT Cert. II, AAMET). I specialize in trauma recovery as well as in working with HSPs. I am a Highly Sensitive Person. My mind/body approach, Moving To Change Psychotherapy, also integrates my 25 years of mindfulness and contemplative practices with movement and body awareness work. This way of working facilitates the experiencing of your whole self––helping you get a better sense of the connections between your body experience, your feelings, your beliefs, and your ways of relating. I am dedicated to helping those I work with live fuller and more meaningful lives. I have been in private practice in downtown Toronto since 2005.

If you are interested in personal development or want support in addressing particular areas of concern, I offer a place where you can:

  • gain a deeper and fuller understanding of your experience as it unfolds
  • be heard, seen, witnessed and valued / receive feedback
  • learn to communicate more clearly and directly
  • explore new choices and perspectives / develop more resilience
  • use your energy to support yourself and your goals
  • acquire effective practices and tools for change / cultivate better boundaries
  • be better equipped to navigate through life's challenges and opportunities
  • experience more aliveness, satisfaction and authenticity in your life

I offer a 15-minute introductory phone consultation at no charge during which we can discuss your needs, see how my approach can be helpful to you, and determine if we are a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you.

When we presence something, we let our attention rest fully on it. Presencing has no judgment, no agenda. It simply is. For many of us, the initial wound to our wholeness was the withdrawal of attention. Human beings need attention in order to grow and flourish. –––Gay Hendricks + Kathlyn Hendricks
