People come to therapy for many reasons. A person may have experienced a life-changing event. Perhaps a loved one has recently passed away. Perhaps they are struggling with alcohol and drug problems or other health concerns.

We decide to seek support and understanding when we want to begin to discover ourselves, and to understand who we are and why certain people exist in our lives.

They may want to understand why they are struggling with alcohol or drug problems, anxiety, fear, depression, stress, or feel dissatisfied or lost in their lives.

Psychotherapy gives you the opportunity to speak to someone who will listen and understand without judging, provide a safe and trusting environment, and offer professional guidance. It will assist you in making more conscious choices in your life, reconnect with your feelings and needs and gain more insight into relationships. It will also help you deal with crisis, losses, trauma, unhappiness and develop relationships that are more meaningful.

I have learned from my own personal struggles, challenges and evolution that seeking support and building trust can bring a person to a place of fulfillment, healing and peace.

This contributed to my decision to become a psychodynamic psychotherapist over ten years ago. To be truly free one must explore one's past self, understand one's potential, gain hope and face one's truths and unhappiness. Through therapeutic talking you too can come to a deeper understanding of who you are and your actual life choices.I also have professional experience in alcohol/drug problems, various addictions and working with various modalities such as abstinence, harm reduction and moderation.I have listed under my photo the areas I mostly work with as eating disorders, addictions and mood disorders.

Besides my formal psychotherapy training my credentials include training in addictions, and extensive experience working at various treatment addiction facilities.
