SUMMARY:January 2026 - CAPT Seasonal Lecture - Partnership of Registered Psychotherapist Associations (PRPA) Rate Survey and Business Case
DESCRIPTION:Summary: \nDo you wonder if your session fees are too high or too low? This lecture shares the results of a 2023 rate survey analysis and development of a business case to inform health policy in Ontario. \nThe survey was conducted to inform the insurance industry as third-party payors\, and a segment of the survey results will be shared to illuminate per session fees of psychotherapists in 2023\, with the majority of responses in Ontario and a national footprint. \nThe business case was developed in response to government engagement work\, in which Members of Parliament requested factual evidence of fiscal efficacy to inform healthcare policy changes in Ontario. This is a call to action for you to help lobby for the inclusion of psychotherapy in community and at the healthcare bedside. Survey results and materials will be shared. \nLearning Objectives:\n1.
