A discovery is said to be an accident meeting a prepared mind.

                                    Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

From my experience of therapy, discovery for my clients comes from listening to their own ideas, their own thoughts, their own intuitions about their life stories, in conversation with another who is curious about the why's, who's, what's and how's within that story. My experience has been that the examined life can lead to discovery that is surprising and unknown. Therapy is a private and unique collaboration where you can consider your life within a supportive, confidential setting. I hope to provide a flexible, empathic space where you feel comfortable to explore the past, present and future in a manner that is individual to you, in a manner that prepares a path to discovery.

My own life experience has been in the fields of business, education and the creative arts, each have had an impact on me and remain significant to this day. This varied experience has brought me into contact with people of diverse social, ethnic and economic backgrounds and my current practice parallels this diversity. Each client is unique, with their own individual history and understanding. I work collaboratively, respecting your perspective and what you bring to our sessions. Respect and assurance of confidentiality are the underpinnings I offer to help create trust. As trust and comfort grow, we will explore more deeply the issues that keep you from living your life in a way that you would like.

Some of the issues I work with: trauma, self esteem, stress, anxiety, abuse (physical and psychological), self destructive patterns, sexuality, life crisis and transitions, depression, mourning and bereavement, body image, aging and age related issues.
